In-person Pregnancy yoga classes

I’m happy to continue offering pregnancy yoga classes through my new website, ember holistic. Please see the latest class dates + times there.

No matter how far along you are in your pregnancy, taking the time to move mindfully is beneficial for both you and your baby. This gentle form of yoga will help you connect with your changing body, your baby and will help ease many of the common discomforts associated with this time in your life.

During pregnancy yoga you can expect a comprehensive class which focuses on movement, relaxation, breath work and guided visualisation. Each set of classes is designed to enhance your strength, relieve stress and help you prepare for birth.

frequently asked questions:

HOW FAR ALONG DO I HAVE TO BE TO ATTEND PREGNANCY YOGA?

  • Some people prefer to wait until they are 12 weeks to start classes, but you are welcome to join any time. This is a personal decision that you get to make. Many people also continue classes until birth, so there is no time you need to stop. As long as you are comfortable and not feeling pain or strain, it is fine to continue.

I have no yoga experience. Are these classes appropriate for a beginner?

  • Absolutely! My classes are tailored for individual needs. Beginners are always welcome and you will learn everything you need to know so you feel comfortable and are practicing safely.

Do i need to bring any special equipment or props for class?

  • The only things you need to bring to class are a yoga mat, two blankets and water to stay hydrated. I provide all other props required for class.

i have an injury that i’m afraid may limit my ability to join class fully. can i still attend?

  • There are some injuries that can prevent people from practicing yoga. Please contact me with any questions, as I assess this on an individual basis. When in doubt, always ask your medical provider if yoga is a good option for you.
